Trinidad and Tobago is mourning the death of veteran broadcaster and acclaimed vocalist Raymond Edwards, whose voice resonated across the nation’s airwaves and concert stages for more than two decades.
Edwards, a familiar and trusted media presence, built a reputation for excellence in both music and broadcasting, carving out a career that seamlessly blended artistry with public service.
His musical journey began in 1993 under the guidance of the late classical tenor Chesterton Ali. Under Ali’s tutelage, Edwards flourished, becoming a multiple Music Festival winner and capturing prestigious titles including Most Outstanding Vocalist, Most Outstanding Tenor and Male Vocal Champion.
