A 16-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in the leg during an early morning attack in Claxton Bay on Saturday.

Around 3a.m, the boy was walking home along Rose Hill Extension after visiting his girlfriend when a masked gunman emerged from bushes on the western side of the road and shouted, “Yuh going and dead!”

The victim told police he heard a gunshot and immediately felt a burning sensation in his right calf, causing him to collapse.
