Police are investigating a gruesome discovery in Penal after the body of an unidentified man was found bound and bearing chop wounds in a remote bushy area on Monday afternoon.
According to reports, around 3:30 p.m. a man walked into the Penal Police Station and informed officers that he had found a body while working in his garden, located off an unnamed road near Mahogany Drive, Penal Quinam Road.
Officers accompanied the man to the location and arrived at the scene around 4:05 p.m. They ventured approximately 500 feet into the bush, where they discovered the body of a male, described as being of African descent, dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build, with a short black hairstyle, lying face down, with hands and feet bound.
