Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC and Acting Venezuelan President Delcy RodrĂguez have exchanged correspondence following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24th, reaffirming the longstanding ties between the two neighbouring countries.
In a letter dated July 8th, Acting President RodrĂguez wrote to Prime Minister Persad-Bissesser and expressed the gratitude of the Venezuelan Government and people for Trinidad and Tobago’s relief aid following the disaster (see letters below).
“These demonstrations of support have been a beacon of hope in times of sorrow and reaffirm that the path between nations is solidarity.”
