(Kaieteur News) â A woman who walked free after spending about 20 months in custody for her husbandâs murder has been recharged with the same offence, six years after the case against her was dismissed.
Mailaini Alli appeared at the Georgetown Magistratesâ Court on Tuesday, represented by attorney Bernard DaâSilva.
Alli is accused of murdering her husband, fuel dealer Ramzan Alli, in 2009. Police are now claiming that investigators have obtained new information in the case.
