THE Government has cancelled the 2025 Independence Day Parade and associated State-sponsored events and will not fund a national fireworks display.
In announcing the decision yesterday, the Government cited ongoing national security operations under the state of emergency (SoE) and advice from security experts.
Instead, it will oversee a national day of prayer.
