A late-night raid at the Max­i­mum Se­cu­ri­ty Prison in Arou­ca on Tues­day un­cov­ered mo­bile de­vices, cannabis, cig­a­rette pack­ages, and hand­writ­ten notes be­lieved to be linked to threats made against se­nior law en­force­ment of­fi­cials.

The joint op­er­a­tion fol­lowed the cir­cu­la­tion of a voice note on so­cial me­dia threat­en­ing the lives of top po­lice and prison of­fi­cials.

The raid took place be­tween 7 pm and 11 pm and tar­get­ed sev­er­al cells with­in the fa­cil­i­ty.
