Doctor survives shooting; one attacker dead

A doctor with decades of medical experience was fighting for her life last night after she and her husband were ambushed by gunmen as she drove towards their Champs Fleurs home after midnight.

But as a gunman shot Dr Dorothy Williams-Chandler through her car, an off-­duty prison officer who was driving behind her intervened and killed the shooter with his licensed firearm.
