THE Office of the Attorney General under the previous government spent $1 billion in legal fees, including $13.2 million paid to former AG Reginald Armour.
This was disclosed in the Parliament, at the Red House, Port of Spain, yesterday by Legal Affairs Minister Saddam Hosein, in his contribution to the mid-year budget review.
Hosein said “this is where the money went”, as he listed attorneys and legal houses that have received millions in legal fees from the previous administration.
