“It’s a sigh of relief. There’s no chance of him getting out of the system.”
These were the words of the father of autistic 15-year-old Malini Persad yesterday after he was told that the man detained when his daughter went missing was found dead in a cell at a police station.
“In a way, he bring justice to himself.... One way, it’s good to hear that he committed his own judgment,” Andrew Persad told reporters at his Barrackpore home yesterday.
