The body of a missing autistic teenage girl may have been found in Barrackpore yesterday.

The body, found in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered in a forested area near KPA Trace, off GP Road, four days after 15-year-old Malini Persad was last seen in her community.

Police suspect foul play in her disappearance and, on Wednesday, detained a 52-year-old man from the community to assist with their investigations.
