Trinidad and Tobago will have a group of observers from the Commonwealth for the April 28 general election.
This was confirmed by the Commonwealth Secretariat via a statement on Thursday (April 17).
According to the statement, the Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) which will be led by Evarist Bartolo, a former Foreign Affairs Minister of Malta with over 30 years of parliamentary experience, consists of six eminent persons from across the Commonwealth. “They bring expertise in media, law, electoral management, and civil society”.
