FORMER Foreign Affairs Minister of Malta, Evarist Bartolo, will lead a six-member Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) to this country to observe the general elections on April 28.

According to a release from the Commonwealth, the team—which arrives on April 22—brings expertise in media, law, electoral management, and civil society.

“The team will observe all aspects of the elections, offering recommendations to ensure the highest standards of electoral credibility, inclusivity and transparency as they assess the pre-election environment, the voting process, and the post-election period,” it stated.
