POLICE are yet to determine a motive for a late-night shooting in Debe on June 15, which claimed the life of 59-year-old Elizabeth “Mary” Lennard and also left her common-law husband Premnath Enal, 63, in hospital nursing gunshot wounds.
The police said gunmen ambushed a car the couple were in, near the Debe roundabout shortly after 10 pm June 15.
Enal, wounded in the attack, managed to drive the car to La Romaine where he alerted residents, who then called the police. He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.
