A 54-YEAR-OLD man perished in the fire he is believed to have lit himself at his home in Grand Lagoon, Mayaro, yesterday.
The fire which engulfed Larry Neaves' home and claimed his life occurred shortly after he seriously injured his wife and 21-year-old son, chopping them both with a cutlass during a domestic dispute.
Neaves chopped his 52-year-old wife, Gwendolyn Medina, on her face, neck and body, leaving her in a critical condition after an altercation between the two yesterday morning, police said.
