One man is dead, and police have recovered two guns, after a late-night shootout with officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) in Port of Spain on September 18.
The dead man has been identified as 28-year-old Anderson “Elmo” Rodriguez of Beverly Hills, Laventille.
Police said Rodriguez opened fire on them several times during a running gun battle through the streets of east Port of Spain, before he was fatally shot near the St Paul Street Multi-Purpose Complex.
