UNITED National Congress (UNC) deputy leader Jearlean John claims that internal polls have shown the People’s National Movement (PNM) is struggling and not in the lead and a “shocking landslide” win is coming for the UNC’s Coalition of Interests.
“The PNM polls are telling them just what the UNC polls are revealing to us—that the PNM is struggling to hold on to their marginals in Toco/Sangre Grande, San Fernando West, St Joseph, Tunapuna, and the Tobago seats,” said John on Sunday in response to questions from the Express.
Prime Minister Stuart Young, speaking at a public meeting in Moruga on Saturday, stated that an internal PNM poll found that the UNC is “under pressure” in four marginal constituencies—San Juan/Barataria, Chaguanas East, Mayaro, and Cumuto/Manzanilla.
