Parents were yesterday forced to pick up their children before the end of the school day after low teacher turnout triggered early dismissals at a number of primary and secondary schools across the nation.
It happened one day after the Ministry of Education announced Cabinet had approved revised terms and conditions of employment for the Teaching Service.
But salary increases will not happen immediately as the ministry said they will be “given effect through the established administrative and financial processes of the State”.
