(Kaieteur News) – The Linden Town Council has announced a reopening of the Kara Kara Toll Station and the resumption of the collection of fees.
This is the latest development in the ongoing row over tolls in Linden Region Ten.
Last Friday, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Priya Manickchand, Minister of Finance Dr. Ashni Singh, Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill and other senior government officials met with Linden Mayor Dominique Blair, and representatives of the LTC as Government moves to address concerns over the cost of doing business in Linden and the Council’s financial operations.
