Judiciary To Livestream Important Court Matters

The Judiciary is set to take another major step toward greater transparency, with plans to livestream important court matters and give the public easier access to judgements.

Speaking at the Commemorative Opening of the 2026/2027 Law Term, Chief Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh said improving accessibility is a key priority for the Judiciary, and that means making court processes and decisions easier for citizens to understand and access.

“This term, we will begin live streaming of important cases, starting with the Court of Appeal. This will allow ordinary citizens to view how the highest courts within Trinidad and Tobago carries out part of its work in the same way it sees the work of the Privy Council and the Caribbean Court of Justice.”
