Attorney General Camille Robinson-Regis says the appointment of Vishnu Dhanpaul as Minister of Finance is legal and in order.
Robinson-Regis made the statement during the CCN TV6 Morning Edition programme a short while ago, addressing claims made by political analyst Bishnu Ragoonath.
Ragoonath had suggested that, since Parliament had been prorogued, Dhanpaul’s appointment was not valid as he was unable to take his oath in the Senate and function as a senator.
