Res­i­dents in parts of Point Fortin and La Brea will face a tem­po­rary dis­rup­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply this week as the Point Fortin De­sali­na­tion Plant un­der­goes me­chan­i­cal re­pairs.

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) said the plant’s op­er­a­tor, Sev­en Seas Wa­ter, has sched­uled a shut­down from 6:00 a.m. on Thurs­day 15 May to 2:00 a.m. on Fri­day 16 May.

The planned main­te­nance will af­fect wa­ter sup­ply to sev­er­al com­mu­ni­ties, in­clud­ing Point Fortin prop­er, Techi­er, Vance Riv­er, Par­ry­lands, Cochrane, Ma­haica, Lot 10, Sa­van­nah, Har­ri­man Park, Clifton Hill, Reser­voir Hill, Mer­ri­mac, Ves­signy, TGU, and parts of La Brea up to the Pitch Lake.
