Residents in parts of Point Fortin and La Brea will face a temporary disruption in their water supply this week as the Point Fortin Desalination Plant undergoes mechanical repairs.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said the plant’s operator, Seven Seas Water, has scheduled a shutdown from 6:00 a.m. on Thursday 15 May to 2:00 a.m. on Friday 16 May.
The planned maintenance will affect water supply to several communities, including Point Fortin proper, Techier, Vance River, Parrylands, Cochrane, Mahaica, Lot 10, Savannah, Harriman Park, Clifton Hill, Reservoir Hill, Merrimac, Vessigny, TGU, and parts of La Brea up to the Pitch Lake.
