The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has announced the successful completion of electrical repairs at the Seven Seas Water (SSW) owned Point Fortin Desalination Plant.
Repairs were finalized at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, allowing the plant to resume its normal production capacity of 5.5 million gallons per day (mgd).
Although full production has been restored, WASA advises customers that it may take between 24 to 48 hours for water service to normalize in some affected areas, as per established supply schedules.
