Police officers in riot gear were called out yesterday as dozens of protesters gathered outside the Red House along Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, to demand accountability following a police-involved shooting in St Augustine on January 20. During that incident, Joshua Samaroo was killed and his common-law wife Kaia Sealy was seriously injured.
