OVER a period of 48 hours last week at least two young women were reported to have died by suicide in Trinidad. One was a 15-year-old Standard Five student and the other, a 21-year-old law student at The University of the West Indies.
Their deaths have triggered a national call for mental health support and awareness as the country continues to observe suicide prevention month.
On Thursday morning, police said the 15-year-old primary school student reportedly died by suicide while at her home in Central Trinidad.
