The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised residents and businesses in the Lower Southwest Peninsula of an upcoming interruption to their water supply due to planned emergency electrical repairs at the Savonetta Booster Station.
In a release Tuesday, WASA stated these critical repairs are scheduled to commence on Saturday February 28, 2026, and are expected to be completed on Monday March 2, 2026, by 6 p.m.
"As a result of this shutdown, customers in several districts may experience low water pressure or no water service for the duration of the works. The areas affected are supplied via the New South Oropouche, Thick Village, and Point Fortin (Desal) boosters," the release stated.
