When he was a teenag­er, Alex Philip left Venezuela, deeply en­trenched in a life of crime, to come to Trinidad to re­shape his des­tiny.

In­stead of clean­ing up his act, he end­ed up build­ing a hu­man traf­fick­ing ring that ex­ploit­ed Venezue­lan fe­males be­tween the ages of 14 and 25 for prof­it, sold drugs and was al­so of­fered $1.5 mil­lion to laun­der mon­ey for some­one.

Now 47, Philip con­fessed to the full ex­tent of his il­lic­it ac­tions in an ex­clu­sive in­ter­view with the Sun­day Guardian, in the pres­ence of his pas­tor Nicholas Con­stan­tine at the Streams of Free­dom Min­istries In­ter­na­tion­al church in Ch­agua­nas last week.
