Fifteen minors and 26 adults who were trafficked have been rescued in Trinidad and Tobago so far this year.
From 2013 to present, the Counter-Trafficking Unit (CTU), which falls under the purview of the Ministry of Homeland Security, has rescued more than 900 victims of trafficking.
All rescued victims between 2023 and 2025 were Venezuelan women and girls.
