As part of Rotary’s observance of Maternal and Child Health Month, the Rotary Club of Garden City in Georgetown donated 25 maternity hampers to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for distribution to 11 Indigenous mothers and 14 mothers identified as being most in need.
The initiative underscores Rotary’s commitment to improving maternal and child health by supporting mothers and giving newborns a healthy start in life.
Each hamper was carefully prepared with a wide range of essential items for both mother and baby, including clothing, toiletries, hygiene products, blankets, towels, nappies, baby care items, and other newborn necessities. The hampers were designed to provide practical support and comfort to mothers during the early days of caring for their newborns.
