Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations Curt Simon has commended the electorate and officers for a safe general election.
According to a media release Tuesday the DCP, who served as the Gold Commander for the general election, "expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the national electorate and commended the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) for its effective security operations, during the just concluded election".
“The electoral process unfolded in a manner that allowed the public to exercise their franchise freely and safely. We saw democracy at work,” stated Simon. “Thanks to the presence and vigilance of police officers in every polling division, we were able to maintain a high standard of safety and security throughout the day.”
