The Police Service is "fully deployed" for Monday's Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election, Gold Commander DCP Suzette Martin has said.
In a recorded message issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Monday morning, Martin said the elections had kicked off without incident.
Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro in an interview with the media outside the Speyside Anglican Primary School said: "As part of the...electoral process of Trinidad and Tobago the Police Service has a specific mandate with regards to ensuring that the democratically elected process is able to go on without any hindrance, without any problems.
