36-year-old TuÂnaÂpuna woman has reported to police that she and her husband lost $36,000 in a houÂsing scam.
Police reports said the woman responded to a Facebook advertisement on February 3 about two houses which were described as Housing DevelopÂment Corporation (HDC) homes in MaÂlabar Phase 4 for sale.
She contacted a man named âMr Thomsâ and on February 5, made a down payment of $18,000 to an account in the name of âAshley Gregâ at Republic Bank, Tunapuna.
