Schools in Trinidad will be dismissed at 11.30 a.m. to facilitate the Official Visit of India Prime Minister Narenda Modi.
This was announced in a memorandum Tuesday from the Chief Education Officer to principals/administrators of ECCE, Primary and Secondary Schools.
"This measure will assist in reducing the traffic volume on the Churchill Roosevelt, Uriah Butler and the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highways as well as other major roadways, thereby minimising traffic congestion. This decision has been made in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and is designed to ensure the security of students, staff, and the general public during this high-level event," the memorandum stated.
