The GovÂernÂment has douÂbled sevÂerÂal CusÂtoms fees, efÂfecÂtive JanÂuÂary 1, 2026, through a leÂgal noÂtice pubÂlished on ChristÂmas Day.
LeÂgal NoÂtice No. 472, isÂsued unÂder the CusÂtoms Act, inÂcreasÂes the stanÂdard cusÂtoms fee from $40 to $80. Fees at the ConÂtainÂer ExÂamÂiÂnaÂtion StaÂtion are alÂso beÂing raised, with one catÂeÂgoÂry inÂcreasÂing from $375 to $750 and anÂothÂer from $525 to $1,050.
The noÂtice was signed on DeÂcemÂber 22, 2025, but onÂly pubÂlished in the LeÂgal SupÂpleÂment on DeÂcemÂber 25. All changes come inÂto efÂfect on New Year’s Day.
