Barbados bids farewell to Sir Charles Straker

Barbados has bid a final farewell to one of its greatest musical icons.

Family, friends, Government officials and members of the entertainment fraternity gathered today to celebrate the life of Sir Charles Emile Straker, co-founder, lead singer, guitarist and creative force behind The Merrymen.

Sir Charles died on June 19 at the age of 90.
