The uncertainty hanging over the future of the Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre and hundreds of its employees has been addressed with an agreement that will place the hotel under a new State-owned company.
Evolving TecKnologies and Enterprise Development Company Limited (e TecK) announced today via a news release that it had completed a new ownership and management arrangement for the hotel, just two weeks before the existing lease was due to expire on September 18.
Under the transaction, e TecK has acquired all the issued and outstanding shares of Hilton International Trinidad Limited, while a new Hotel Management Agreement will allow Hilton to continue managing and operating the hotel.
