The M.V. Golden Carrier will soon join Trinidad and Tobago’s inter island cargo seabridge, replacing the M.V. Blue Wave Harmony while the latter undergoes scheduled maintenance and upgrades, according to the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO).
NIDCO said the change will come at no additional cost to the State as the substitution is being made under the existing Charter Party Agreement (CPA) signed on December 18, 2025.
The agreement was structured as an initial six month charter with the option of a further six month extension. At the end of the initial period, the vessel’s owner opted to substitute the Blue Wave Harmony with the Golden Carrier to facilitate maintenance works.
