Three alleged gang affiliates have been detained under State of Emergency (SoE) regulations.
The order came from Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds, who yesterday issued the three detention orders under the Emergency Powers Regulations.
The first detention order, published as Legal Notice No 54 of 2025 in the Trinidad and Tobago Gazette, was issued against Sterling Walcott, of Pepper Village, Fyzabad. Authorities identified Walcott as the leader of the Oropouche Gang, a criminal organisation operating within Oropouche and neighbouring areas.
