Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cir­cum­stances that led to the death of a full-term ba­by boy short­ly af­ter his birth on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon, as the child’s moth­er claims she was un­aware that she was preg­nant.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports the woman and a friend were at the Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, at around 1 pm on Sat­ur­day when she de­scribed ex­pe­ri­enc­ing a sharp pain around her waist and went to bath­room.

The woman lat­er re­port­ed feel­ing a “flush­ing” out of her body but did not re­alise she was go­ing in­to child­birth un­til se­cu­ri­ty guards at the fa­cil­i­ty came to her as­sis­tance and told her what was hap­pen­ing.
