KAIA SEALY, who is facing charges arising out of the January police shooting incident that resulted in the death of Joshua Samaroo, is expected to appear virtually before a Tunapuna magistrate this morning after being arrested upon her arrival at Piarco International Airport.
Speaking outside the Arouca Police Station shortly after 3.30 a.m., attorney Fayola Sandy said Sealy was being held there, having been taken to the station immediately upon her arrest, and the attorney had been assured her client would appear virtually before the court.
Sandy said she was given the opportunity to speak with Sealy, who was "holding on very well" despite her condition.
