The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) has com­plet­ed tem­po­rary road re­in­state­ment works along the west-bound lane of the Beetham High­way, Sea Lots, al­low­ing traf­fic to move smooth­ly in­to Port of Spain.

The work, com­plet­ed at 12:45 a.m. on to­day, comes af­ter heavy con­ges­tion yes­ter­day morn­ing on the first day of school re­open­ing. Mo­torists faced sig­nif­i­cant de­lays as the tem­po­rary road­works caused traf­fic to back up along the high­way.

Min­is­ter of Pub­lic Util­i­ties Bar­ry Padarath re­quest­ed a re­port from WASA to clar­i­fy what tran­spired dur­ing the dis­rup­tion.
