More than 300 Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) workers have been terminated, Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Khadijah Ameen confirmed yesterday.
She said the move was part of Government’s ongoing restructuring exercise to root out corruption within the programme.
She said “meaningful” employment opportunities will follow.
