A POLICE officer who sued the State, after she was arrested in relation to missing gun and ammunition from a police station back in 2021, had her case dismissed by the court.
The Woman Police Constable (WPC) filed the claim, seeking damages for negligence, unlawful arrest, false imprisonment and conversion. The court however found that there was reasonable and probable cause for her arrest and detention during the investigation.
In December 2021, the Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) was informed that the Galil firearm and two magazines with 70 rounds of 5.56 ammunition went missing from the North Eastern Division (NED) Task Force which was at the San Juan Police Sub Station.
