T&T wins silver in men’s 50m freestyle at Youth Olympics

Swimmer Jaden Mills captured Trinidad and Tobago's first medal at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, winning silver in the men's 50-metre freestyle final.

Mills clocked 22.99 seconds in the final, behind Czechia's Zdenek Prochazka, who won in 22.54 seconds.

Andrew Laghoutis from Cyprus placed third in 23.04 seconds.
