A 31-year-old man was fatally shot by police during an early-morning operation in Santa Cruz yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Aaron Benjamin, also known as “Sequea,” of LP 5 Petit Curacaye.

According to reports, around 5:55 a.m. on Thursday, officers of the North Eastern Division, including the GIU, Task Force, Canine Unit, IATF and Santa Cruz CID, went to Benjamin’s home to execute a search under the Emergency Regulations 2025.
