A 68-year-old St James pensioner was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning by two men who entered his yard and escaped with his pickup truck and cellphone.
Police said the victim, who lives at Madras Street, St James, was standing in his yard around 12:05 a.m. when two men approached him. One of them pointed what appeared to be a firearm and announced a robbery. The other suspect then pushed the pensioner to the ground.
Fearing for his life, the man complied as the attackers took his white Toyota Hilux (registration TCP 215), valued at $175,000, and his iPhone 14, worth approximately US$793.
