The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) says two additional men will be charged in connection with the murder of Municipal Police Corporal Anusha Eversley, and the theft of firearms and ammunition from the San Fernando Municipal Police Headquarters.
Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro said the TTPS has taken full cognisance of national concerns surrounding the case, adding that the Service understands the seriousness of the incident, the anxiety it has caused, and the public expectation that all responsible individuals will be held to account.
He said the update follows further consultations with Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard, SC, which resulted in formal instructions to lay charges against a 24-year-old scrap iron dealer of Claxton Bay and a 20-year-old construction worker, also of Claxton Bay.
