The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has revoked the fitness certificates of 16 motor vehicles following a traffic enforcement exercise in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) aimed at addressing the illegal use of coloured lights and other lighting devices on vehicles.
The White Light Campaign was conducted on Friday by ranks of Regional Police Division Two.
During the exercise, several motor vehicles were stopped and inspected, and Police found a number of vehicles to be non-compliant with the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, particularly in relation to the illegal use of coloured lights.
