First Guyanese set to compete in EU pizza competition in Argentina

(Kaieteur News) – Lisa Hamilton is set to make history as the first Guyanese to participate in the annual Scuola Pizza Championship which takes place on September 26-27 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Hamilton succeeds Alex Tenorio who is unable to participate for unforeseen reasons. Tenorio had emerged as the winner in the Neapolitan category of the inaugural EU-Guyana Pizza Competition back in June and was slated to represent Guyana this weekend in Argentina. Hamilton had won the Guyanese category and was declared the overall winner after scoring the most points in both categories.

EU Ambassador to Guyana Luca Pierantoni said, “We are delighted to see Lisa Hamilton make history as the first Guyanese to participate in the Scuola Pizza Championship in Buenos Aires.
