The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has concluded a high-level mission to Haiti aimed at strengthening regional cooperation on major public health risks.
The delegation, led by CARPHA Executive Director Dr Lisa Indar, visited Haiti from August 23 to 25 and held discussions with national health authorities on the country’s existing capacity, challenges and areas requiring additional support.
Haiti’s Health Minister Bertrand Sinal acknowledged the difficulties facing the country’s health system but said it also had significant strengths.
